Dal 1° luglio la Radio Vaticana termina le trasmissioni in onda media ed onda corta verso l’Europa e l’America
On July 1st, Short and Medium Wave broadcasts from Vatican Radio’s Santa Maria di Galeria Transmission Centre, to most of Europe and the Americas, will be suspended. These areas of the world are already well served by Vatican Radio’s local rebroadcasting partners and by widespread internet access to its services and language programming.
バチカン放送のウェブサイトでは、7月1日の特別放送の予告が出ているが、これはこれまでにも行われている、サンピエトロ広場からのミサ中継である。
0950からこれまで通りいくつかの周波数で放送が予定されている。使用される周波数は、
6075、7250、9645、11740、15550、15595、17570、17590kHzである。

7月1日からのスケジュールでは、これまで中波を含め404波をリストしていたが、それが僅か177波に減少している。15MHz以上の周波数は本国送信はほとんど変化が無い。
上記アジア向けは7月1日以降も変更はない。
