The Government of Japan is to host an “International Symposium - International Cooperation towards Resolution of the Abduction Issue -”
North Korean Human Rights Abuses Awareness Week is held every year from December 10 to 16 to increase interest and awareness of human rights abuses by North Korea, including the abduction issue.
　With the swelling momentum in the international community to call on North Korea to improve its human rights situation and resolve the issue, the Government of Japan is to host an “International Symposium - International Cooperation towards Resolution of the Abduction Issue -” which invites experts such as the UN staff and senior officials of related governments, and discuss how we can resolve the abduction issue through cooperation with the international community. We look forward to your participation.
