海外からのラジオ放送

VOAとKBCで毎週放送されている、アナログ電波による文字放送が、Radio Australiaでも放送される。ヨーロッパ北米向けのため日本での受信はほぼ不可能だが、18、19日の放送される文字放送は日本でも受信可能だ。

For the first time, Radio Australia will broadcast digital text and images. This will be Saturday 18 May and Sunday 19 May 2013.

As is characteristic of shortwave, reception outside the nominal target areas is likely.
Each five-minute broadcast will include:
:34 RA tuning signal (still Waltzing Matilda?)
:05 Tone 1500 Hz
1:42 MFSK16 text
1:42 MFSK32 text
:55 MFSK32 image
All modes are centered on 1500 Hz
放送時間は5分間と短いが、文字と画像が送られるようだ。
VOAではSSTVも行われている、ハムの世界では当たり前だが、その昔R.Swedenでも放送されたことがある。
