海外からのラジオ放送

WJHR局にFCCがSSB免許を許可したというニュースは既に、この6月に出ていた。
DXLDなどによれば、8日にこのSSB放送が受信された。周波数は15550kHzとのこと。

1430頃から聞こえたようだが、時間的に日本では無理だろうな。しかしAMではなくSSBということから可能性はあるだろう。これ、短波放送の新局という事なのだろう。

終段4K50R3Aの50kW出力、16.24dBのクワッドアンテナ、送信ビーム5度、送信幅64度、打上角11度と発表されている。http://www.fcc.gov/ib/sand/neg/hf_web/WJHR.txt

The U.S. Federal Communications Commission has granted a Construction Permit
(CP) for a new HF International Broadcast Station in the state of Florida.

This station requested authority to broadcast exclusively in SSB, not AM. FCC
rules permit such stations to use AM, SSB or DRM, but this appears to be the
first to actually propose SSB operation.

A CP is required to build the station. After it is constructed and demonstrated
that it can operate in compliance with FCC rules, the station may apply for a
regular license to replace the CP.

The permittee is Mr. George Mock of Milton, FL, doing business as Hill Radio
International. The station is expected to be named WJHR and will broadcast
religious programming.
